和太鼓に選ばれた男
佐藤健作
和太鼓歴40余年。1998 年サッカーワールドカップ・フランス大会閉会式にて大太鼓を演奏。 2007年青年版国民栄誉賞「人間力大賞」準グランプリ受賞。2008 年文化庁主催「芸術祭」にて、和太鼓奏者初の新人賞受賞。2016 年イギリス国営放送BBCの番組「グローバルビーツ」に出演、全世界で放送された。
2011年〜14年東日本大震災被災地無料公演「不二（ふじ）プロジェクト」を東北三都市にて主催し、祈りの太鼓を捧げる。
2018年、2020 年在フィンランド日本国大使館主催公演。
2020年、真矢ミキ主演「ドラマティック古事記」（読売大手町ホール）等、一流ダンサーたちとの共演を多数行う。高千穂神社、厳島神社、出雲大社、熊野本宮・那智大社など神社神域での奉納演奏を行う。
2021年、東京オリンピック2020閉会式で大太鼓「不二（ふじ）」をソロ演奏、及び東京音頭盆太鼓演奏。
日々、信州の霊地・戸隠にて個人所有世界最大級の大太鼓「不二」を打ち込む。
圧倒的な打法と芸術性により「和太鼓に選ばれた男」と称される。

Japanese “Taiko” Drummer Kensaku Satou
In1998, Kensaku SATOU performed at the closing ceremony for FIFA World Cup in France.
He participated in the tour in Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland (2003), tour in Southeast Asian countries supported by Japan Foundation (2005)
and tour in the USA and African countries and others.
In 2008, he received “the Rookie of the Year Award” in “the 63rd National Arts Festival organized by the Agency for Cultural Affairs”.
He also performed in Russia (with Noh performer, Reijiro Tsumura, in 2011).
Organized Fuji Project (2011-2014), free concerts to pray in the affected areas in the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11.
Participated in Edinburgh Festival Fringe with his solo work, ONE in 2016 and 2017, his performance at BBC WORLD SERVICE Global Beats showcase
went on the air all over the world.
In 2021, Kensaku performed solo with his massive Taiko, “FUJI ” and Bon Daiko for Tokyo Ondo at the closing ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

L’homme choisi par l’esprit du tambour japonais «Taiko».

Avec l’énergie d’un dragon, la souplesse d’un danseur, la pureté d’un moine, le tambour du Taiko le plus remarquable, Kensaku SATOU crée son rythme explosif et interprétation divine.
Sa création céleste est faite à base du mythologie japonais. Il est très apprécié pour son rythme sacré qui nous donne l’idée sur l’univers.
Ayant 30 ans de la carrière professionnelle, il consacre son temps pour s’entraîner dans le village tranquil de Nagano avec son tambour « Fuji », un des plus grands tambours japonais dans le monde.
Kensaku SATOU est conu comme « l’ homme choisi par l’esprit du tambour japonais » pour son rythme fort et haut technique. Son interprétation est bien apprécié par beaucoup d’artistes des domaines variés. Notamment, les danseurs de ballet, de danse contemporaine, les acteurs de théâtre Nô.
